Wilson, Janet (1948- ; reader in English)

"Janet took her MA in English at the Victoria University of Wellington, an MA at the University of Sydney and her D Phil at the University of Oxford . She taught at the Universities of Auckland, Oxford and Otago, as well as University College Dublin before coming to UCN, where she is now Reader in English. Her special interests are in Postcolonial Literature and English Language. Her publications include Preaching in the Reformation 1535-1553 (Boydell and Brewer 1993), Intimate Stranger: Reminiscences of Dan Davin (Steele Roberts, 2000) and "Distance and the Rediscovery of Identity in Recent New Zealand Literature in Colonies, Missions and Cultures in the English-Speaking World (ed Gerhardt Stilz) ( Stauffenberg, 2002). "
