Andreyev, Alexandre (1949-)

Doctor of History, is senior research fellow at the Institute for the History of Science & Technology, St Petersburg branch. He has published monographs and many articles in Russian and English on Russo-Tibetan relations, Buddhism in Russia and exploration of Inner Asia by Russian travelers, including Soviet Russia and Tibet: The Debacle of Secret Diplomacy, 1918-1930s (Brill, 2003), Tibet in the Earliest Photographs by Russian Travelers, 1900-1901 (Delhi, Studio Orientalia, 2013), and Russian Expeditions to Inner Asia: Their Organization, Observations and Collections, 1870-1920s (with T. Gnatiuk and M. Kozhevnikova) (St.Petersburg, Nestor-Istoriia, 2013)
