De afkorting C.B.L.S.V.E. (Christi Blut, Leiden, sei unsere Errettung) bovenaan met een Latijns motto. Een Latijnse tekst van Lucretius onder de afbeelding. Op de achterkant van het blad een Latijnse tekst van Thomas More: 'In caecum et claudum'
